University of the Aegean has demonstrated in this field. The research at the University of the Aegean has also significantly contributed to resolving problems at local level, connecting its operation with the local societies of the islands that host its Departments. Moreover, the University has contributed to generating high-level scientific staff, participating actively and considerably in research, the University’s education and in industry projects.
In this Project, University of the Aegean participates through the Financial and Management Engineering Department – Information Management Lab which focuses on the design, development, management and use of Information Technology (IT) and IT-based Service Systems in complex organizations, including government, industry value chains and value systems, inter-organizational business processes for SMEs and large enterprises. Recent work includes applications in e-government and e-logistics.
